Report by Hackney Community Defence Association from 1991. The report concentrates on cases where members of the public have suffered unwarranted and unprovoked assaults by police officers. The majority of those assaulted have then been charged with a criminal offence. HCDA is concerned with the particular injustices suffered by the victims of these crimes and the inadequacies of the present criminal justice system in dealing with the criminals who perpetrate them.
